Our Story

In 2003, we began on eBay, selling consignment. From there, we grew and opened our parent company, Well Ordered Living. LLC in 2010. Well Ordered Living focused on downsizing clients and selling their consignment items on our existing eBay store. From there, we continued to sell client consignment and ended up opening 5 vendor antique/vintage mall locations by 2016! Needless to say, we grew out of those spaces and officially opened the Upcycle Boutique VA retail store in Ruckersville, VA in 2018.

At UpcycleBoutiqueVa, we have always been passionate about upcycling and love to bring our customers a constantly changing inventory of refreshed, repaired and revitalized antiques and vintage treasures that are ready for their next 100 years with happy new owners.

I passionately LOVE jewelry of all types and eras; we have amazing pieces ranging from the Victorian era forward and the selection is constantly refreshing and changing! Jon heads our amazing custom design and upcycling work, using materials that are salvaged, cleaned, treated and finished for their new role in your life! Jon uses everything from sourced, salvage and recycled fixtures to reclaimed vintage woods and materials in his builds-because, in addition to guaranteeing that builds are unique, we're always upcycling which feels great!

Our quirky business made it through COVID closures until our retail corner brick and mortar store was demolished in 2021. So, we packed up and moved everything to our farm in Albemarle County, VA and have grown from there into a 24/7 online store, with our products available on Instagram, eBay and Etsy too!

We are constantly sourcing our antique and vintage merchandise from auctions, estate sales, consignments and international sourcing trips. We offer local pick-up only at our farm for all salvage and furniture items. Beginning in 2023 will have quarterly pop-ups sales!
